Our History
The Beginning
Opera Software’s presence in Wrocław started in 2006, with an initial team of 23 people focused on advancing Opera’s browser technology and strengthening its presence in Europe.
The Journey Continues
By 2007, rapid growth led to a move to a larger office in the historic Market Square, where the team focused on developing groundbreaking products, attracted more talent, and laid the foundation for what would become one of Opera’s most important development centers.
Biggest Opera Hub Expands
In 2016, Opera Wrocław moved to its current location at Plac Teatralny in the iconic Hieronimus Building, also known as the “Glass House.” This new space, inspired by Wrocław’s historic architecture and its prime location, now accommodates around 250 employees, offering collaborative spaces that foster Opera’s innovative work culture. Situated in the heart of Wrocław, the Glass House embodies Opera’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of technology while staying deeply connected to the local community and culture.

Employees can easily access public transit, including buses and trams, with several nearby stops: Opera (just 10 meters from the building), Świdnicka (200 meters away), Renoma (300 meters away) and Bastion Sakwowy (500 meters away).
