We’re looking for a skilled C++ Developer to help us shape Opera One— delivering fast, secure, and innovative web experiences to millions of users worldwide. In this role, you’ll work on performance, stability, and features that make a real difference, diving deep into C++ and the web technologies that make a browser tick. Role & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new browser features in C++ to deliver faster, safer, and more intuitive user experiences.
- Enhance and optimize existing components for performance, stability, and scalability.
- Test, deploy, and maintain core browser functionality across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features into Opera’s products and services.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in software development and browser technologies to drive innovation.
- Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Exceptional software development skills with proficiency in C++ (C++20 preferred) or similar languages.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and code comprehension abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in fast-changing environments.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, or macOS (multi-platform experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Bonus: Experience with large codebases, Chromium framework, or a strong interest in learning new technologies. Experience with web development.
