Data Engineer – Opera Ads
Location: Wrocław, Poland (Hybrid)
About the job
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Commercial Business Unit and support the Opera Ads product. This is a brand-new role in a well-established data science team, offering the unique opportunity to shape a new initiative from day one. You’ll work closely with our ADX Engineering Team to ensure data pipelines run smoothly.
You’ll dive into a large-scale advertising ecosystem and collaborate with global teams, including potential travel to China for in-person knowledge sharing. If you enjoy working with open-source tools, optimizing infrastructure, and being part of impactful projects, this is the role for you.
Role & Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth execution of offline data jobs and troubleshoot anomalies
Contribute to developing scripts for data cleaning, export, backups, and reports
Support internal stakeholders (AM/Operations) with data-related requests
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong command of Python, Bash, SQL, and Hadoop
Experience with at least three of the following: Hive, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Flume
Experience with workflow management tools
Excellent communication skills, openness, and a proactive mindset
An Ideal Candidate’s Profile:
Familiarity with Java/Scala or ClickHouse is a plus
