Velkommen til Opera HQ
Founded in Oslo over 30 years ago, Opera continues to call the city home - maintaining its global headquarters in Norway’s capital. Rooted in Oslo’s spirit of innovation, openness, and balance, we’ve expanded into a truly global company. Today, our teams span across Poland, Sweden, Spain, Scotland, China, and beyond - united by flexible, hybrid work models that foster seamless collaboration across borders.

Shaping the Web for Over 30 Years
Opera is proud to be the world’s longest-running web browser. We’ve been going strong here in Oslo since 1995. We’re proud to carry on a 30-year tradition of creating the best possible web browsing experience for over 300 million people around the world and we’re always pushing the boundaries of what the web can do next.

Life at Opera Oslo
In 2019, we moved into our new office in the modern yet welcoming Storo neighbourhood. From our balcony, we enjoy beautiful views of the Oslofjord and easy access to public transport, including bus, trikk, and t-bane. We embrace a Scandinavian approach to work–life balance, and everyone is encouraged to join in the many social activities hosted at the office from international potlucks and monthly dinners to run clubs and more.

A Global Team in a Nordic Setting
With team members from over 25 countries, we’ve built an inclusive and welcoming workplace where diverse perspectives drive the development of global products. Our Oslo office is home to teams across marketing, design, business development, finance, legal, and HR and we’re always excited to welcome new colleagues at every stage of their careers, from students and recent graduates to experienced professionals and senior leaders.
