QA Engineer
Location: Wrocław (Hybrid)
Opera is looking for a QA Engineer to join the Opera One team and help ensure the quality and reliability of one of the world’s most popular browsers. In this role, you will contribute to testing new features, investigating issues, and improving the overall user experience of a product used by over 300 million monthly active users worldwide.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the entire development lifecycle. The position focuses primarily on manual testing.
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform manual testing of browser features and services, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
Create and maintain test plans and test cases to ensure reliable product quality.
Identify, reproduce, and report defects while providing clear and detailed bug reports.
Verify bug fixes and conduct pre-release smoke testing to support stable releases.
Job Requirements:
Solid understanding of manual testing practices, including test case execution, exploratory testing, regression testing, and defect reporting.
Basic knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
Ability to investigate issues, reproduce defects, and create clear and detailed bug reports.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD environments, or software release processes.
Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and automate repetitive tasks in daily work (even in a primarily manual testing environment).
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently, you are comfortable taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, and driving tasks forward without detailed step-by-step guidance.
