QA Engineer
Location: Wrocław (Hybrid)
Opera is looking for a QA Engineer to join the Opera GX team and help ensure the quality and reliability of the world’s most popular gaming browser. In this role, you will contribute to testing new features, investigating issues, and improving the overall user experience of a product used by over 34 million monthly active users worldwide.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the entire development lifecycle. The position focuses primarily on manual testing, while also offering the opportunity to gradually transition into helping build and improve automated tests using Python.
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform manual testing of browser features and services, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to expanding automated tests using Python.
Create and maintain test plans and test cases to ensure reliable product quality.
Identify, reproduce, and report defects while providing clear and detailed bug reports.
Verify bug fixes and conduct pre-release smoke testing to support stable releases.
Job Requirements:
Solid understanding of manual testing practices, including test case execution, exploratory testing, regression testing, and defect reporting.
Basic knowledge of Python and willingness to use it for test automation.
Initial exposure to test automation or scripting for testing purposes.
Ability to investigate issues, reproduce defects, and create clear and detailed bug reports.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD environments, or software release processes.
