Senior Frontend Developer (Contractor)
Location: Wrocław or Warsaw (hybrid mode)
We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to take ownership of the architecture and development of key frontend components in Opera One, a product used by millions worldwide.
You’ll join a talented team focused on user-facing features, stepping in as the frontend authority to guide best practices and ensure technical excellence. This is a hands-on role where your work directly shapes the user experience, with visible impact released to users soon after implementation. It’s an opportunity to take full ownership, bring architectural leadership, and make a lasting mark on one of the most user-centered browsers in the world.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the architecture of our frontend code,
AI Chat & page context integration into Opera One,
Start Page maintenance and adding new features,
Creating standardized controls / Design system components to re-use across all Opera One frontend pages,
Designing all frontend pages for auxiliary features in Opera One (e.g. settings, history, bookmarks).
Job Requirements:
7+ years of professional experience working with JavaScript,
Strong expertise in the React framework (must-have),
Comfortable navigating and improving large, existing codebases, while also capable of building new projects independently,
Experience with performance optimization and a solid understanding of how websites render is nice to have.
