Full-Stack Developer

About the job
We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our Mobile Services team that is responsible for developing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting the Opera Mini and other Opera mobile services. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will play a vital role in the development of new features and maintenance of existing code and test suites, including bug fixes, optimization, and refactoring.
Role & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain new and existing applications supporting Opera’s mobile browsers.
Implement and execute unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain best practices and ensure high-quality standards.
Develop and enhance internal infrastructure and automation tools to support application development and deployment.
Provide on-call support for selected high-availability services to ensure seamless operation and uptime.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in Python and/or Go (experience in at least one is required; willingness to learn the other is essential).
Experience with frontend applications development.
Strong background in backend server applications development.
Knowledge of relational databases (concurrency control, ACID properties, and query optimization)
An Ideal Candidate’s Profile:
DevOps expertise with technologies such as Kubernetes (k8s), Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
Familiarity with TypeScript and modern web frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular.
Experience in database and datastore integration, including Redis, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL.
