We are seeking a top performing Business Development and Strategic Partnership with performance advertising experience who will build trusted-advisor relationships with an assigned book of business consisting of Opera’s highly valued Distribution Desktop Browser Partners.
The individual in this role will bring affiliate marketing knowledge, sales experience, customer obsession, a passion for innovation and best-practice sharing, and a proven track record for delivering exceptional results over time.
The role will be taking ownership of direct partners for the distribution of the Opera Desktop Browser Division.
The candidate for this role should have good analytical, people and negotiation/business skills and have worked previously on optimization of user acquisition campaigns from advertiser or publisher side. Have managed and optimised acquisition campaigns.
Previous experience in AdNetworks agency or publisher websites, managing direct advertisers and advertising campaigns is ideal.
Role & Responsibilities:
- The role will report directly to the Head of Desktop Browser Acquisition and will be part of the Desktop User Acquisition team working closely with Data, Marketing and Business Development Divisions.
- Lead partner portfolio and account planning. Utilize data analytics and insights, and collaborate with the account team, to develop strategic account and portfolio plans.
- Build intentional partner relationships that drive new users.
- Conduct proactive meetings to develop trusted advisor status, build loyalty, and improve business.
- Establish yourself as the point person for day to day account management inquiries and performance concerns. Be present and available to partners and build loyalty.
- Responsible for growing our direct relationships and helping on managing day to day work with our partners, reporting, optimizing and growing the number of partners in our portfolios
- Utilize relationships to provide seamless account management, a united front to partners and ultimately enable the ability to quickly respond to partner requests or escalations.
- Maintain functional knowledge of new features, products and initiatives across the Opera ecosystem.
- Require to take over at the beginning the smaller partners making them grow and step by step taking over the big ones.
- Consistently make every effort to increase knowledge of the browser industry.
Job Requirements:
- Experience managing and growth direct partnerships
- Analytical skills and experience working on reporting using excel (advanced)
- Experience with sales and strong negotiation skills
- 2+ years working in a sales or customer service organization; affiliate marketing and/or performance advertising experience preferred
- Relentless focus on the partner experience, with demonstrated capabilities meeting partner needs and strategic campaign goals
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Demonstrated passion for technology, software and advertising
- Proven ability to multitask & work under pressure and build ongoing relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- English and other language preferable (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, Italian or German)
An Ideal Candidate’s Profile
The ideal candidate should have an international exposure and experience managing campaigns worldwide. Experience in affiliate marketing and knowledge of the browser industry is a plus.
