About the job
We are looking for a System Administrator with the ability to code in Python. That person will join a small team that is a part of a bigger, interdisciplinary department and is mainly focused on making sure that the whole company has everything to work smoothly. The team is administering internally used systems. We do have some in-house developed tools as well as well known and commonly used.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and improving Opera’s Global IT employee supporting systems
- Troubleshooting of complex IT problems
- Providing training to team members and preparing documentation
- Constantly hunting for IT environment improvements and automation opportunities
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant IT administration experience
- Strong, analytical problem solving with customer service skills
- Experience in maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting of Linux-based IT environments
- Python programming skills
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Virtualization knowledge will be an asset
An Ideal Candidate’s Profile:
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Prometheus
