Product Designer
Opera is looking for a talented and driven Product Designer to join our Gaming product development team! Together with our sister company Yoyo Games and our gaming browser team (Opera GX) we aim to bring user generated multiplayer games to the masses straight in the browser.
This is an opportunity to join us as a UX/UI designer in Gothenburg Sweden, which has a unicorn track-record, to build the next big thing. You will work on the product design for the GXC web products which targets both players and creators.
Responsibilities
- Sketch ideas during brainstorming sessions
- Prepare high fidelity mock-ups with a specification for the engineering team
- Create or take care of a product design system
- Cooperate with developers and testers on ensuring product quality
- Gather UX/UI inspirations, follow technology and design trends
We expect you to have:
- UX/UI Design related studies or background in a relevant area, and/or self-educated if supported with a rich experience in portfolio
- Experience with commercial projects
- A hunger to make improvements, attention to details, empathy for understanding users’ perception of a product
- An open mind to problem-solving, ready to create and kill ideas
- Ability to communicate ideas and explain design choices
- Ability to gather feedback and change it into action points
- Flexibility and self-driven personality, well-organised workflow
- Experience with Figma, or similar tools such as Sketch and Adobe CC
- Fluency in English
An ideal candidate is currently living in Gothenburg or willing to relocate, though we are open to discussing remote positions for the right candidate.
