About the job

We’re currently seeking data scientists to work on Opera products, help drive product and business decisions and to make our users happier!

In our daily work we prepare systematic analyses, dashboards and ad hoc reports. We also develop ideas and create tools to automate the assessment of user satisfaction with Opera products. Beyond systematic and well-defined tasks, we look for less obvious ways to explore and assess the Opera ecosystem.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing data processing pipelines
  • Building dashboards and reports
  • Identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends and patterns in complex data sets
  • Developing prediction models using machine learning and statistical methods
  • Creating and performing tests, and analyzing data for useful insights

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in SQL and scripting language (Python)
  • Experience with quantitative analysis
  • Experience with building data processing pipelines
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis
  • Experience communicating analysis results
  • Applied statistics or experimentation (i.e. A/B testing) in real-life problems
  • Degree in either Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or another technical field. Advanced degrees preferred

An Ideal Candidate’s Profile:

  • Knowledge of Git and development methodologies
  • Experience in Big Data
  • Experience in building dashboards
