Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Oslo, Norway

You will join us as a Business Intelligence Analyst in Opera Software to use the data we collect to guide the company’s global business decisions. Working in a small and agile team, daily tasks range from maintaining tables and dashboards to developing python scripts for data analysis and building statistical and machine learning models.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ad hoc data explorations and analysis tasks.
  • Develop and maintain data systems such as users, cost, revenue, from ETL/ELT to dashboards and reports.
  • Build and enhance anomaly detection tools.
  • Guide Distribution Team on new and existing pipelines.
  • Define and track KPIs in new business initiatives.
  • Develop models and tools to monitor and forecast P&L for our browser products and new fintech initiatives.
  • Learn and develop your own skills.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding and experience with SQL.
  • Solid understanding of Python programming.
  • Knowledge of visualization techniques and libraries.
  • Experience handling big data is highly preferred.
  • Special care for numbers with focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and working in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.

This position will report to Manager FP&A.
