Job description:

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js) to work in a Mobile Services team that is responsible for developing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting the Opera Mini and other Opera mobile services that are currently serving more than 200 million users.


  • Develop and maintain microservice backend with very high peak usage (used by hundreds of millions of users)
  • Take care of scaling, monitoring and code quality of the service
  • Take a proactive role in choosing the right tools for the development


  • Very good experience working with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experienced with asynchronous programming
  • Additional experience which would be a huge benefit:
    - Networking knowledge (Internet protocols etc.)
    - Interest in performance and scaling
    - Any other programming language knowledge
