About the job

The ideal candidate has experience and credibility as an editor of content with a strong vision for creating and curating a content experience for Opera’s 325 million MAU browser audience.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Designing and directing content curation strategy for our browser products
  • Leading and growing a team to curate interesting and relevant content for the Opera audience
  • Strong understanding of and experience within the publishing ecosystem and relevant relationships
  • Building internal relationships to drive success against metrics of engagement with content and broader browser KPIs

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience working for a major US digital platform in an editorial and/or curatorial capacity
  • 2+ years experience managing a team of writers, curators, and/or editors
  • Experience creating a content experience that appeals to a wide audience
  • Deep knowledge of how content is consumed and distributed online
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic and organizational leadership skills
